Renewed general financing from the Sovereign Tech Fund

The Souvereign Tech Fund (STF) was launched in October 2022 by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) to make targeted investments in the open source ecosystem with a focus on security, technological diversity and resilience. As an independent subsidiary of the Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation (SPRIND), it was stabilised in November 2023.

From 17 June 2024, the STF will once again be accepting general funding applications for the development, improvement and maintenance of open digital basic technologies.
